T he Family Place kicked off its annual fund-raiser, the 2021 Partners Card, with a luncheon at Terra, the Italian rooftop oasis at Eataly Dallas in NorthPark Center. Preview event co-chairs Heather McNamara and Kirsten Swanson, along with Partners Auxiliary president Leigh Danley, hosted 150 guests. NorthPark's fashion and lifestyle ambassador, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, and fashion- show producer Jan Strimple emceed a fashion presentation from NorthPark Partners Card retailers, featuring looks by Camilla, Isabel Marant, Billy Reid, Maje, Sandro, and more. Mimi Crume Sterling, the newly appointed CEO of The Family Place, shared that funds raised by Partners Card are essential to continue helping those who are impacted by domestic violence in Dallas. The 10-day shopping fundraiser takes place from October 29 through November 7, granting card purchasers a discount at participating retailers and restaurants, while all proceeds from each $75 card goes to the Dallas-based family violence agency. And it was a fabulous evening enjoyed by all. Susan Salka, CEO of AMN Healthcare, chaired the indoor/outdoor event at The Empire Room in the Dallas Design District, where banners saluted individuals who have benefited from CitySquare's work. The evening began with cocktails and sumptuous food stations, followed by a high- energy auction that brought in more than $200,000 for the cause. Following comments by Salka and CitySquare CEO John Siburt, guests danced under the stars to the music of Manhattan.
