SQUARE T he annual PaperCity Round Top Kick-Of f Party hosted by the Massey family returned this year after a two- year COVID hiatus. But this year, Round Top magazine and Round Top Antiques & Design Show Guide, sister publications to PaperCity, joined the media lineup. The Grove in charming Henkel Square Market was the place to be as 250 guests celebrated the Spring 2022 Antiques & Design Show, hosted by Round Top's first family (Mayor Mark Massey and wife Kasey; Mark's parents, Susan and Fred Massey; and his brother, Owen Massey, with wife Sofia). Balmy weather blessed the al fresco event, with Bo's Boil N Geaux of Giddings supplying crawfish the size of small lobsters, shrimp, and sausage in the traditional boil. Sponsors Still Austin Whiskey Co. and Frankly Organic Vodka kept the party going well past sunset. Several guests were celebrating their first spring show as Round Top business owners, including Clemencia Larimore of art and entertaining outpost Tré for the Gathering, which recently opened in Minden Square; Greg Fourticq and John Cone, whose Red Antler bungalows hosted their first overnight guests this spring; Shane and Kristine Brown of Big Daddy's Antiques out of L.A.; and Marla Hurley of Modern Marla boutique.
