A beloved Round Top tradition wrapped with a flourish as The Halles, PaperCity m a g a z i n e , a n d Round Top Publishers celebrated both the finale of the Round Top Spring Antiques & Design Show and 50 years of Festival Hill, aka the internationally known music conservatory Round Top Festival Institute. Gillie and Marc's life -size bronze Paparazzi Dogs greeted guests (courtesy exhibitor West Chelsea Contemporary), as a crowd of more than 250 assembled in The Halles' VIP Pavilion. On the menu: dinner, drinks, and dancing to Black Cat Choir. John Lowery of Humble Donkey Studio even joined the musical lineup, after being invited on stage to play the cowbell by the gentlemen in the band. Chef Trang (Lena) Le of Lena's Asian Kitchen got the party rolling with a Southern supper of red beans and rice, Cajun chicken pasta, and meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and a tower of Crave Cupcakes. Meanwhile, The Crown Halles bar served up cocktails crafted with spirits from Still Austin Whiskey Co. and Frankly Organic Vodka.
