SALIENT FACTS. 16 CLUTCHING STRAWS H a n d b a g d e s i g n e r Pamela Munson has cunningly reimagined iconic Schumacher archival patterns into three styles of woven straw bags: Hydrangea Drape, Joni Chintz, and Chenonceau. $275 each, at pamelamunson.com. SUMMER OF DIOR I n time for summer, Dior has relaunched three niche scents as La Collection Privée Trilogy. First released in 2004, the three fragrances — Eau Noire, Cologne Blanche, and Bois D'Argent — have been updated b y m a s t e r p e r f u m e r F r a n c i s K u r k d j i a n , their original creator, who now serves as Dior's perfume creation director. Conceived as a trio of complementary scents, the limited- edition trilogy are more than mere fragrances; this edition is a true object of desire, presented in an understated box, with clear flacons revealing each scent's true color. Eau Noire is grassy and spicy, with sun- kissed lavender and a sensual base. Cologne Blanche adds crisp notes of almond, bergamot, and orange, while Bois d'Argent invokes the iris, contrasted with incense smoke. It's a little bit of summer, a little bit of drama, and a whole lot of sexy. La Collection Privée Trilogy $375, at dior.com. Steven Hempel ABLOH'S AIR FORCE 1 W hile LV designer Virgil Abloh may no longer be with us, his work lives on. Louis Vuitton has launched nine of the 47 bespoke editions of Nike's iconic Air Force 1 first presented as part of the Spring/Summer 2022 Men's Collection. Manufactured at the maison's Fiesse d'Artico in Venice, the designs blend the sneaker's stylistic notes with Vuitton leather and insignia, and the design language of Mr. Abloh. Vuitton released nine editions in June for in-store purchase, including classic all-white embossed and black suede designs. A metallic gold sneaker pay homage to the designer's debut Vuitton collection, while patchworked multicolor editions celebrate his graphic language. At the Louis Vuitton boutique. Steven Hempel V isionary Academy Award-win- ning costume designer Cath- erine Martin has partnered once more with Manolo Blahnik and Baz Luhrmann to create a selection of shoes for Luhrmann's new 1950s film Elvis. There's not a blue suede shoe, but the four variations are: Victor, a sleek, white calf-leather boot; Tupelo, a two-toned black-and-white leather lace-up; Graceland, a classic toggle desert boot in cappuccino suede; and Cramer, a brown calf boot with embroi- dered details.
