THE ESSENTIAL MARKET T he Essential Market co-founders Camille Moughon and Emily Trevino prayed for a beautiful spring night for their al fresco dinner at The Double T Ranch, surrounded by a field swimming in wildflowers. Houston's Essential Market has generated major buzz with their latest endeavor, Party Packs — collections of custom-designed soirée necessities including invitation templates and cup and napkin designs. The Mediterranean dinner, cooked over an open fire, drew Kimberly Dorris of KD Weave, Angela Humphrey of Honest Cotton, Lady Captain's Lauren Neal, Casey Barbles of The Feel Good Group, and Callie Strange, Aspire Accessories. In the crowd: Hannah Tysor, Julie Taetz, Donna Gilbert, and Katy Burton. RANCH FÊTE AT BADER RANCH A hot ticket this spring was the inaugural Ranch Fête at Bader Ranch, where showers lifted just in time for an extraordinary evening of craft cocktails, food, art, fashion, and music on the grassy bluff overlooking Bader barn. HGTV stars and Round Top shoppers perused handmade boots by Miron Crosby and a straw-hat collection from Sissy Light. Denver painter Laura Goodson wielded her brushes, concocting live art; stark black- and-white cowboy canvases have earned her a cult following. (No, really. You can join her Crypto Cowboy Cult online.) As cocktail hour came to a close, guests moved to the island-themed communal table for a five-course dinner from Bader Ranch seasonal chef-in-residence Austin-based Nick Middleton of Y Comida. Afterwards, classic country crooner William Beckmann lured the crowd from the table to lounge chairs. In the crowd: Abbie Byrom- Botello and Leonard Botello, HGTV's Grace Mitchell, Brian Patrick Flynn and Kim Wolf, and Miron Crosby's Lizzie Means Duplantis. HATS OFF TO TERESSA FOGLIA AT THE HORSESHOE T eressa Foglia and her team hosted a private cocktail party at The Horseshoe catered by nearby Cotton Pearl Motel, with music by Aaron McDonnell and THEBROSFRESH, just off their set at South by Southwest in Austin. Shoppers flocked to Foglia's custom hat bar stocked with antique and vintage fabrics, leathers, and mementos, manned by Teressa Foglia creative director Tyler Hays. Foglia — who shares The Horseshoe with Prize Home + Garden, artist Chad Kilgore, and Mill Collective — took over a full barn to create a stunning showroom with installations from global neon artist Olivia Steele, who set the walls aglow with witty messages, while New York creative agency East Olivia turned the barn's interior into a springtime bower. A mash-up of luxe small brands was on hand: Christy Lynn, Béyu, Samantha Knight Fine Jewelry, LoveShackFancy, Lingua Franca, Understated Leather, sequined suits by Nashville's Any Old Iron, and jeweler Logan Hollowell.
