HER HAT Teressa Foglia A fter a week-long wedding celebration in Ibiza with partner Ty Hays in late spring, hat-maker Teressa Foglia and her crew traveled Europe in search of inspiration, sourcing one-of-a-kind materials and fabrics along the way to fuel the creation of an expanded product line to be launched at the fall 2023 Round Top Antiques + Design Show. This season, Teressa Foglia and her team will unveil a new collection of packable hats, hat carriers, and new straw and felt hat designs in fresh color palettes and captivating new styles at their new retail barn at The Horseshoe, which will now be open for appointments year-round. "We are truly thrilled about the ongoing expansion of our brand in Round Top," Foglia says. "Our new space at The Horseshoe will enable us to offer year-round appointments and host monthly special events, making Teressa Foglia in Round Top a year-round destination. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces will also allow us to collaborate with more brand partners and curate an environment that leaves everyone feeling inspired. Presenting our offerings in a unique town like Round Top always sparks our creativity, allowing us to introduce fresh ideas to our visitors." Join the team at The Horseshoe on opening weekend, Friday – Sunday, October 13 – 15, noon – 6 pm, for hat-making and relaxing in the Arhaus lounge with Casa Del Sol tequila cocktails and Hampton Water Rosé. Foglia will also welcome a cadre of her favorite designers to The Horseshoe, including LoveShackFancy, Samantha Knight Fine Jewelry, Chefanie, Lingua Franca, and Ty Hays Wild Art Monday, October 23, 11 am – 7 pm. Live music from The Bros Fresh and an open bar will run from 4 – 6 pm. Stop by from 11 am – 7 pm daily through October 28 for more hat-making fun and live music from Houston- and Austin-based artists. Also new this season is Foglia's debut appearance at Marburger Farm Antique Show, where she will feature a diverse selection of classic Teressa Foglia Collection hats, as well as unique reworked vintage hats that perfectly embody the spirit of the venue. Teressa's partner in life and business, Ty Hays, will showcase his Far West fine art series at Marburger. "Ty, who has a background in fine art and graphic design, has dedicated the past three years to the art of hat making," Foglia says. "This show marks his first exhibition on paper and canvas since 2019, and he's embarked on a fresh artistic journey infused with Western influences. What truly captivates me about his collection is the profound connection you feel with the characters he portrays. These pieces are a stunning addition to any modern, vintage, or Western-feeling home."
