After the renovation was completed, the Bledsoes held several open houses to reintroduce the house to the town. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. "So many people thanked us for saving it," Bledsoe says. M ary Bledsoe spent most of her childhood living around the world — her father was an anthropologist with a focus on South Asia, and her mother was a doctoral student and Fulbright scholar.
