JORDAN GEIBEL SAPANA'S MAKEOVER (Continued) R ound Top textile haven Sapana in Henkel Square has been redesigned in partnership with Lauren Wills Grover of Wills Design Associates. Wills Grover added splashes of color and imported fabrics to create a dream-come-true space for Sapana owner Jolie Helms. The new design is inspired by the rich heritage of India, where Helms sources textiles for Sapana and partners with local artisans to create dhurries, home-decor pieces, and distinctive blanket-coats. The one- of-a-kind coats are made with kantha fabrics, which are created from saris or other reclaimed fabrics that are layered and bound with a running stitch. Taking inspiration from the brand, Wills Grover sourced intricately crafted bone-inlay pieces, hand-woven rugs, and artisanal lights for the space. Collaborating with Sapana's fabric maker in India, she created custom block- printed fabrics for the upholstered furnishings. The Sapana Flagship is open Wednesday through Sunday year-round in Henkel Square at 105 North Live Oak Street. Sapana will also pop up at The Arbors, Tent E1, October 12 through 26. sapanadreams.com.
