(Continued) COMES TO ROUND TOP A lisanne Frew, owner and visionary behind Alisanne Wonderland, brings a unique architectural opportunity to the Fall Round Top Antiques & Design Show — the chance to reconstruct a 19th-century Neoclassical, 14,000-square-foot French château … anywhere in the United States. In 2020, Frew acquired 800 tons of hand-carved limestone and balusters, pediments, and Doric-style stone columns that once made up the four outer walls of a Bordeaux-area noble's hunting lodge, built in 1890. Frew, with the help of her team, meticulously cataloged each stone so a buyer can accurately reconstruct the outer walls of the château or integrate the materials into a home. Julien Le Bras, who discovered the château's stones for Frew, has offered his services to assemble the structure and expand upon it. An exhibition about the château and artist's visions of its restoration will be presented during the Fall Round Top Antiques & Design Show, October 3 – 27 at the Alisanne Wonderland venue in the Paul Michael Showroom at Market Hill. Visitors can view the industrious work of Alisanne Wonderland's team and artist renderings of how the château will look in a city setting and vineyard setting. Frew says it will take approximately eight weeks to load the 432 pallets and five months to ship the stones from Marseilles, France, to a new home in the U.S. The four complete facades consisting of 5,389 limestone blocks and decorative architectural elements is selling for $7.5 million, reconstruction not included in price. frenchchateauproject.com.
