H ighland Park Village: Highland Park Village is in the midst of its annual parking repairs, so be prepared to search a tad longer for the ideal spot when you head to the TWP pop-up everyone has been buzzing about. The ready-to-wear line, founded in 2021 by Trish Wescoat Pound, is intended for real women's lives, and quite a few friends tell me they're big fans, especially of the menswear-inspired shirting made from fabrics sourced from heritage mills in Italy. This pop-up — the first standalone location in Texas, and their fourth in the nation — is inspired by the Sag Harbor location with natural, earth-toned decor. In addition to ready- to-wear (including the white shirt that's become every girl on the go's go-to fashion piece), you'll find essentials by Flamingo Estate, a nature-based brand of household essentials. Stay tuned for details about the highly anticipated Dallas debut of Miu Miu (in the former Dior space between Fendi and Moncler), the expansion of Van Cleef & Arpels, and the relocation of Carolina Herrera — all occurring later this summer and in the fall … Knox Neighborhood: Head over for the recent opening of Ralph Lauren, which moved to Knox from its former location in Highland Park Village. The new store offers men's Purple Label and women's collections, along with Polo Ralph Lauren for both men and women, located just steps from the brand's Ralph Lauren Home store … NorthPark Center: Later this summer, Golden Goose moves to a larger flagship space with a broader selection of merchandise, including more ready to wear … NorthPark celebrates its 60th birthday on Tuesday, August 19, so get ready to raise a flute of bubbles. We'll post more details online about the happenings during the weekend of August 22 through 24 as the news breaks. Social: There's nothing to report for you to jot in your Smythson day planner. For once, your Buzzy Bee plans to just toss a pair of Tom Ford floral pants in a weekend bag for an August clambake in East Hampton. See you in September when the charity scene kicks back into party mode. Billy Fong La DoubleJ opens in Highland Park Village in late September. TYLER ROSTE L a DoubleJ'adore. Yes, we love the chic Milanese womenswear a n d h o m e l a b e l known for its vibrant prints founded by J.J. Martin. In late September, La DoubleJ opens its second U.S. store — the first in Texas — in Highland Park Village. Martin, a Los Angeles native, isn't your run-of- the-mill CEO, but rather the creative commander and chief spiritual officer of the brand, with a background as a journalist. She landed in Milan in 2001 as a contributing editor for Harper's Bazaar, WSJ Magazine, and Wallpaper and forged a community with the city's art, architecture, design, and fashion creatives. She also began a journey to find soul workers, educators, and healers to deepen her understanding and involvement in the spiritual and wellness worlds. What began as an online shoppable magazine with the dual purpose of selling her collection of vintage clothing and highlighting her adopted city's female creative captains morphed in 2017 to a full array of maximalist fashion with eye-popping prints, cut with easy glamour. More than strictly OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. Retail Buzz Above: TWP in Highland Park Village LA DoubleJ Does Dallas fashion, La DoubleJ is a true lifestyle label. If you need a brilliant and bright tablescape, look no further than the enviable Italian- crafted plates and chargers; we have our eye on the Poseidon charger in dusty pink porcelain ($149), a Murano glass carafe in green ($563), and placemats, and napkins. And, for the finishing touch, the big Bubble vase in Wildbird Blu ($563) with fresh-cut peonies from your garden haphazardly arranged. If you can't wait until La DoubleJ opens this fall, consider joining The Sisterhood on the brand's site. It's filled with digital practices from high-vibe healers with spiritual, energetic, and physical lessons, and by registering, you receive a full toolkit of online practices from trusted teachers on everything from Yoga Nidra to breathwork, as well as access to their spiritual yellow pages, the Healer Book, which chronicles places and things around the globe that Martin has discovered. JJ Martin will speak; sign her book, Mamma Milano: Lessons From the Motherland; and create an experiential event at Texas Design Week Dallas, November 3 through 7, 2025. The TXDW schedule will be posted soon at texasdesignweek.com. See you this fall in Highland Park Village for the unveiling of the new boutique and its Raise Your Vibration Station. We're not quite sure what that is, but we can't wait to find out. ladoublej.com. Billy Fong 24
