IMAGINING G uests gathered at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden for the final event of the spring social season: the Alzheimer's Association's annual gala, this year themed "Imagine: A World Without Alzheimer's." Throughout the night, chair Meg Cameron, honorary chairs Fay and Ken Moraif, emcee Steve Eagar of KDFW FOX 4 News, and Jim Atkins, recipient of the George Heilmeier Distinguished Achievement Award, shared their poignant connections to the disease. After a cocktail reception in the gardens and a paddle raise, Mission Moment guests Kim and Jeff Kort and their children, Dylan and Sydney, shared details about Jeff's diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's and the improvement he's experiencing from a newly approved infusion drug. Because of a match challenge issued by the Moraifs, the moment raised $125,000 for the cause. After the auction, guests enjoyed dessert outdoors, as well as one of the best views of the Dallas skyline at sunset, across White Rock Lake. Spotted: Michael Cohen, Greg Sampson, Jenni Knutson, Jan and Randy Haberer, Beth and Steve Jarvie, Michael Jarvie, Megan and Bobby Paulk, Nubia and Albert Flores, Tracy Denton, and Marlo Dell'Aquila.
