B ader Ranch stole the show as the venue for the PaperCity and Round Top Antiques & Design Show Guide kickoff party, primped and revamped with a Palm Royale golden palm entrance composed of brass mid-century sconces by Cyril Clerc. Katy Bader pulled together an effervescent mix of antiques, vintage, and fashion — French mid- century furnishings and stylish purveyors including hats by Sissy Light and boots by Miron Crosby, as well as Cara Cara, Lady Captain, Krewe Sunglasses, Stash Style, SaPeyKa, Arianne Elmy, Mason's Daughter, and Moreau Paris. DJ Abe the Ambassador from Austin led the music, and chef-in-residence Nick Middleton prepped and plated wagyu steak with shishito aioli, smoked salmon canapés with shaved apple and dill, shrimp aguachile shooters, Bánh mi tostadas, and cantaloupe gazpacho. Sweet olive oil cake topped with candied carrots was served alongside decadent desserts from Crave Cupcakes. On the back deck, guests quaffed Billecart champagne, wine, and handcrafted cocktails poured by Social House. With said cocktails in hand, many wandered into the hayfield to relax around the Bader Ranch firepits and take in the famous sunset.
