JENNY ANTILL Houston Symphony Parties Like It's 1789 Chairmen Tara & David Wuthrich T he Houston Symphony saluted its forthcoming "Rock Me Amadeus" Ball with an extravagant kickoff at the historic JPMorgan Chase Lobby. The 18th-century-inspired eve was the perfect precursor to the main event — think waiters in powdered wigs and models flaunting spring eveningwear provided by Tootsies. While guests sipped miniature brandy-spiked milkshakes, the performers for this year's ball were revealed: the Marianne Bennett Orchestra and Mark Wood, among others. Partying in the past: ball chairs Tara and David Wuthrich; co-chairs Audrey and Brandon Cochran, Alexandra and David Pruner; honorary chairs Mariglyn and Stephen Glenn; honorees Denise and Philip Bahr, Julia Frankel, and Beth Madison; and after-party chairs Stacy and John Andell, Hasti Taghi, and James Gietz. (Save the date for the ball itself: Friday, March 23, at The Corinthian.)
