TC Art Fair Kicks Off Canvas: Texas Contemporary Art Fair, arriving September 4 through 7 at George R. Brown Convention Center, activated its host committee, with an art-smart kickoff. Venue: Stylish Mexico City- inspired Montrose eatery Cuchara. Social Sculpture: Fair founders Art Market's Max Fishko and Jeffrey Wainhause, in from NYC; exhibiting gallerists Kerry Inman, David Shelton, Devin Borden, Sonja Roesch, and Barbara Davis; host committee members Jessica Phifer, Lawndale Art Center's Christine West, Rachael and Jason Volz, and Katharine Barthelme and Conrad Camp; and the CAMH's curator Dean Daderko and community engagement director Connie McAllister (the museum is the Fair's Opening Night beneficiary).
