BY MAX TROWBRIDGE, JANE ROZELLE PHOTOGRAPHY BRUNO ARTRAGEOUS NIGHTS ADAM BALL AT GOSS-MICHAEL AND AN AFFAIR OF THE ART B ritish artist Adam Ball returned to Dallas to present a solo show, "The Space Between" (curated by Ed Bartlett of The Future Tense), at the Goss-Michael Foundation. Ball — who utilizes his own DNA in abstract works of hand- cut paper, paintings and light installations — chatted eloquently with guests at the exhibition opening and cocktail reception. Artist Michelle Rawlings, who debuts in the gallery's "Feature" exhibition of Dallas- based artists, presented a short documentary and recent paintings with pop-cultural inspirations. Guests also perused Damien Hirst's "Other Criteria" pop- up shop with exquisite butterfly prints for sale. Consummate hosts Kenny Goss and sister-in-law Joyce Goss entertained Micki Rawlings, Robert Hernandez, Bobbye Bowdon, Ron Corning, Charles and Joanne Teichman, Sam Saladino, and Barbara Buzzell. A rt lovers and creative types merged at Traffic LA to celebrate the sponsors and underwriters for this year's An Affair of the Art: Artrageous. This is the 21st year of the festive fund-raiser, which has raised more than $2 million to date for the Dallas Museum of Art. Co-chairs Andrea and Heath Cheek and Nina and Decker Sachse greeted DMA supporters, CBD Provisions passed bites, and Cinco Vodka signature cocktails mixed with tunes from DJ Jeff Mitchell. Store manager Matthew Simon directed the crowd next door to TenOverSix, located inside The Joule hotel's lobby, for bubbly and sweet treats.
