I n Uptown Park on a wintry night, it was Aerin Lauder's very chic world, and we were all just hoping to live in it. Happily, now we can: Longoria Collection has Lauder's complete home design collection (exclusively in Houston), including furnishings, wallpapers, fabrics, tabletop and accessories. The collection resonates with Lauder's trademark style: posh Park Avenue sophistication meets cool Southampton casual. The lady of the hour perched — with perfect posture — atop her velvet blue Hilgard dining chair, a design inspired by Art Deco chairs owned by her grandmother, Estée Lauder, to sign copies of her book, Beauty at Home. Uptown girls and gents: Longoria Collection co-owners Sylvia Longoria Dorsey and daughter Elizabeth Fertitta, longtime store director Cherry Damianoff, interior designer Courtney Hill Fertitta, Minnie and Will Baird, Audrey Cochran, Raquel Segal, Mindy Carter, Ceron, and Karen Pulaski. ANNE LEE PHILLIPS GETS COMFORTABLE ON A CHAISE LONGUE. PHOTOGRAPHY DANIEL ORTIZ. D esign duo Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams touched down at their Highland Village store for the Houston stop of their 25th anniversary celebration tour. The brand, which proudly creates their upholstery in America, crafted a special anniversary collection that includes a sleek silver-leather version of the Major chair and a swoon-worthy Tibetan-fur- covered Ansel perch. Also marking the milestone is the coffee-table book Who We Are (Assouline), which memorializes MGBW's mantras: ethical business practices, stylish furniture fit for dogs and kids, and quality of goods and of life. More than 450 design-savvy guests clinked glasses to MGBW, while DJ Senega Iles kept the vibe upbeat. The evening benefitted Child Advocates, the nonprofit that seeks to break the cycle of child abuse through court-appointed advocates. Modern merrymakers: general manager Ryan Rottum and MGBW's Ernest Berger; Child Advocates CEO Sonya Galvan; as well as Justin Zarate, Thi Crist, Susan Day, Laushelle Fair, Kelly Goff, and Paige Gilbeaux.
