PHOTOGRAPHY BRUNO. SHOOTS TO THRILL T hose peculiar words sparked a mystery among ticketholders for TWO x TWO's Thursday-night First Look party presented by Fossil — the first chance to bid on more than 100 contemporary artworks and luxury items up for live and silent auction throughout the gala weekend. Chairs Elaine Agather and daughter Bradley Agather Means, known for loving a good theme, turned the bash into a saucy costume party — which was apropos, since TWO x TWO is traditionally held in the days leading up to Halloween. The result was a night of fun and folly with Belvedere Goblin Juice cocktails, blood- red velvet Sprinkles Cupcakes and dangerously delish bites from Lombardi Family Concepts. The weather was drizzly, but that didn't stop Todd Fiscus, who dressed as a top-hat- wearing skeleton, with his husband Ceron. Fiscus and his skilled Todd Events crew moved what was to be an outdoor party under a cavernous tent that was promptly constructed in the Rachofskys' front drive. Arrivals were anything but standard: Guests walked a brooding black carpet lined with vigorously ringing rotary-dial telephones. We picked one up. Who was on the other end? Wouldn't you like to know … Attire was a mix of the cheeky, the fashionable and the imaginative: Agather was the spitting image of 94-year-old fashion icon Iris Apfel, while Means came as a pineapple (her favorite design element) in a yellow-gold Wes Gordon dress. TWO x TWO hosts Cindy and Howard Rachofsky were adorable in coordinating Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes — red-yarn wigs and all. John Runyon dressed as the late TV host and artist Bob Ross. Disney's famed villain, Maleficent, was actually Patricia Quirino. Creative director and Aquazzura founder Edgardo Osorio sported what could only be described as cowboy couture. Christen and Derek Wilson brought a green posse of Ninja Turtles. And, in true fancy-Nancy form, Gala chair Nancy Rogers donned a white-hot Dior skirt, an over-the-top red wig and long, faux lashes as an Instafamous #pfw #disaster. DJ Lucy Wrubel spun a mix of All Hallows' Eve classics (Michael Jackson's "Thriller") and tunes with a bit of wit (Gene Kelly's "Singin' in the Rain"). Who was there? Deedie and Rusty Rose, Alberto Lombardi, Robin McMonigle, Rajan Patel, Jennifer Karol, Lisa Rocchio, Catherine Rose, Anna and Gavin Delahunty, Lainie Kritser, Melissa Enriquez, Billy Fong, Jessica Young, Jeffrey Lee, Zoe Bonnette, and Janet Gridley.
