L ongoria Collection's Sylvia Dorsey, Elizabeth Dorsey Fertitta, and Cherry Damianoff hosted design- minded socials at their ever- expanding Uptown Park haven for the home (which has Houston exclusives on furnishings from Kelly Wearstler, Aerin Lauder and Ralph Lauren). The occasion: mingling with svelte designer Alexandra von Furstenberg, who was in from L.A. to sign pieces from her collection of neon-hued acrylic home goods. Von Furstenberg was born into a family of style-makers — her sisters include children's clothing designer Marie- Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece, and filmmaker Pia Getty. She grew up in Hong Kong, Paris and New York before studying fashion and art history at Parsons and Brown, then serving as image director for Diane von Furstenberg (whose son Alexandra had previously married). In 2007, AVF founded her eponymous accessories line of brightly hued trays and bowls, followed by a white, black and smoke collection. She recently expanded her offerings to include clean-lined furniture. Chatting up AVF: interior designers Lindsey Looke, Talbot Cooley, and Katie Scott with husband Stanton; stylish set Stacy and John Andell, Erin Breen, Katie McClure, Luvi Wheelock, Lisa Oren, Melissa Strong, Nicole Katz, and Nancy Bihlmaier.
