50 HAIL MARY BY LINDEN WILSON. PHOTOGRAPHY BRUNO. A rtfully arranged by color rather than season, a retrospective of London fashion designer Mary Katrantzou's vibrant ready- to-wear collections from the past decade drew socials and art patrons to her opening night fĂȘte. It was only a matter of time before Katrantzou showcased her work in Dallas. She is famously close friends with Nasiba Adilova (who wore custom Mary Katrantzou for the evening), and the two are often spotted around Dallas, everywhere from Bullion restaurant to last year's FGI Night of Stars gala. Justine Ludwig, Dallas Contemporary director of exhibitions and senior curator, has long admired Katrantzou's work for both its sculptural appeal and fashionable edge, and co-curated the 180-piece exhibition, "Mary, Queen of Prints," with museum director Peter Doroshenko. SPOTTED: Contemporary board president Max Trowbridge wearing Katrantzou, Georgina Hartland, Jimmy and Sue Gragg, John and Marlene Sughrue, Charles and Joanne Teichman, Molly Bruder, Chuck Steelman, Scott Kehn, Capera Ryan, Muffin Lemak, Shelby Wagner, Ekaterina Kouznetsova, and Katrantzou's mother, Katerina Katrantzou, in from Greece.
