More than 1,350 cancer survivors, community leaders and supporters joined honorary chairman Caren Prothro and co-chairmen Pam Busbee and Pam Perella at the Hilton Anatole's Chantilly Ballroom to hear this Emmy and Golden Globe nominee and witness Mary Anne Cree and the Men and Women of Sammons Enterprises, Inc. receive the Circle of Care Award. Others doing their part: Pat Smith, Lissie Donosky, Ann Frances Jury, Rebecca Lutz, and Jane Stringer. Local columnist Kirk Dooley introduced keynote speaker Tyler Campbell, son of legendary football hall of famer Earl Campbell, to nearly 500 supporters. Campbell charmed the room with anecdotes relating to his own experiences with MS as a college athlete during an informal Q&A. (It's no coincidence that his dad's autographed UT jersey was the most coveted raffle prize of the day.) Movers and shakers: George Nordgren, Alice Dykeman, Jacquelyn Bateman Woldert, Jessica Pulliam, Mary Catherine Burford, and Martin Newman. Those with giddy-up and go: community service award recipient Karen Shuttee, Adrianne Cash, Stacey Johnson, Libby Hunt, Key Coker, Lisa Ogle, Sunie Solomon, and Sharon McCullough.
