A new Loews Hotel, with some premium rooms overlooking the stadium's fi eld, brings fi ve new restaurants and bars — including one of the largest private bourbon collections in all of Texas. The hotel's new chef, Mouhssine "Moose" Benhamacht, began his career working for Jean Georges Vongerichten. Benhamacht wants anything but a slew of cookie-cutter hotel restaurants. But the iconic spot has sat empty and unused since 2015. It's fi nally getting new life in the form of Bowlski's, a bowling alley, bar, restaurant, and entertainment center from Craig and Jennifer Spivey. This may not seem like the perfect tenant for a historic theater, but the couple lives in Lakewood and is committed to keeping the Art Deco touches. They're even turning the old projection room into a VIP bar, letting visitors look through the original projector squares. "We're bringing the building back to life," Jennifer tells PaperCity. Psychedelic Robot, the popular immersive art exhibition that turned a scheduled 10-day run in Dallas into months of sold-out shows last year, is returning. This time, it's a 13,000-square-foot art playland spread across two stories at the Crescent Court hotel complex. Bivins Gallery owners Karen and Michael Bivins are the masterminds behind the Instagram smash. Few athletes anywhere are as beloved as Nowitzki is in Dallas. Now there are plans to a name a street after him, with another celebration expected when the German icon completes his American citizenship. But Nowitzki is mostly looking forward to "eating everything" and hanging out with his wife Jessica and their children — Malaika, 5; Max, 4; and Morris, 2.
