Heading back to the cool, arty Silver Street Studios, the Fall 2019 show promises to be a triumph of good taste — with a renewed sense of purpose. Presented by Dolphin Promotions, 50 national and international exhibitors present well-pedigreed antiques and decorative arts spanning centuries, as well as vintage 20th-century modern finds. Hometown representation includes David Lackey Antiques & Art of Antiques Roadshow renown, while international exhibitors range from Dorian Frank XX Century Decorative Art of Buenos Aires to Gele of Uruguay. Top national booths include Florida's Art Link International and Atlanta Fine Rugs & Antiques. New exhibitors are headlined by Seattle's Edward Michell Contemporary Art and Pennsylvania's Ladybag International, which shows vintage handbags and GOTTA HAADS IT women's couture accessories. Among those debuting mid-century furnishings are Dallas' The Lush Life Antiques, Art Link International, and Dorian Frank. Returning faves include L.A.'s Jacob's Diamond & Estate Jewelry and Wisconsin's Antique Cupboard, specializing in silver pieces. The HAADS Cafe, offering bites and drinks, is presented by Heirloom Catering of Houston. Anspon, a new live weekly broadcast that hits the airwaves of listener-supported community pillar KPFT 90.1 FM every Thursday, 3 to 4 pm. His co-host, Anspon, is PaperCity's visual arts and features editor. The HAPPY HOUR JENNY ANTILL CLIFTON The Houston Hour co-hosts, Catherine D. Anspon and Mister McKinney Houston Hour's debut featured Mayor Sylvester Turner and street artist Gonzo247, with future guests including artist Ariane Roesch, gallerist Betty Moody, Matt Johns (with an insider's preview of Texas Contemporary Fair), and Jim Nelson, who will speak about a half-century of Houston Ballet.
