DIVE INTO OUR DIGITAL WORLD PAPERCITYMAG.COM AN OLD TUNE B ig band music is making a surprise comeback in Uptown thanks to a new supper club that aims to make nightlife in Dallas a little more grown up. Named after an old society club in Philadelphia formed in 1896, Clover Club caters to a 35-and- up crowd. Well-known Dallas bartender Eddie Campbell — one of the club's partners — calls it an "adult hangout" in a neighborhood where bars for twentysomethings rule. The most unexpected thing about Clover Club just may be the sophisticated food from chef Anthony Van Camp. That's a true adult treat. Read more at papercitymag.com/clover-club. LATIN EATS THE NEW OLD WEST Te Deseo, a new Latin restaurant in the Harwood District, is certainly hoping to spice things up. The 14,000-square-foot space includes multiple dining rooms, tiled courtyard, no fewer than four bars, and a rooftop lounging perch. With more than 100 specialty tequilas and mezcals, the bar will be the spot to go, while chef Ty Thaxton leans on dishes from Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Mexico. Legendary Lucchese Bootmaker, which traces its own origins back to 1883, is opening up two shops in the Stockyards. The new Sidesaddle Saloon and MB Mercantile & Supply, modeled after the fi rst general stores, also wink at the Old West. Of course, there's also a Shake Shack. When you've been around for 130 years, things change. Read more at papercitymag.com/ stockyards. NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP D on't be the last to get the new PC Daily.
