What: The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Fashion Show and Luncheon Where: Winspear Opera House PC Moment: Ask the city's most well-heeled ladies what they do with their designer garb once the season requires a closet refresh, and they'll give you a benevolent answer: They donate to The Salvation Army's Chic Boutique, a high point of The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Fashion Show & Luncheon, which features new and gently worn pieces by Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Carolina Herrera, Escada, Diane Von Furstenberg, and more. The afternoon is almost a full-day affair, from mid-morning shopping to a fashion show on the Winspear stage then lunch in the lobby. In the 27 years that the Women's Auxiliary has been giving back, more than $10.5 million has been raised. This year, the Fashion Show & Luncheon upped the total by a cool half million.
