T here has been much too much foreplay, but reservation lines at Virgin Hotels Dallas are finally open and accepting stays beginning December 15. Developed in partnership with Sir Richard Branson's doppelgänger, Dunhill Partners' Bill Hutchinson, the hotel — located on Turtle Creek Boulevard in the Dallas Design District — soars with 268 guest rooms (including two penthouse suites). Multiple venues for sipping and supping include Commons Club, a modern social club located on the first floor near the main entrance, and Funny Library Coffee Shop — a communal workspace serving hot pours of Laughing Man, the coffee brand co-founded by actor Hugh Jackman. Top off your day with cocktails at the sexy outdoor Pool Club or a workout 34 at the state-of-the-art fitness center, open 24/7. Guest-room interiors are divided into two areas, separated by a sliding room panel with peephole: The Dressing Room with full vanity, makeup desk, and lighted mirror, and The Lounge, with an ergonomically designed lounge bed, red SMEG fridge, (stocked, of course), red plush sofa, and yoga mat. Interiors are designed by Dallas-based Swoon the Studio and Austin's Joel Mozersky Design. 5G Studio (Forty Five Ten at Hudson Yards, AC Hotel Dallas, Omni Dallas) served as architectural firm. Some say you can only be a virgin once, but seven additional Virgin Hotels are underway in Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Silicon Valley, and Edinburgh, Scotland. A small cactus is potted with amethyst to promote serenity; a crystal kit of rose quartz and moonstone increases female intuition. The combination of living plants and energetic stones is all about creating positive energy.
