85 T he annual Houston P a p e r C i t y D e s i g n Awards elicited almost 300 project entries from interior designers and architects in 19 categories with 2,500 images downloaded into digital libraries for our judges: architect/ designer Lee Ledbetter, and designers Bunny Williams, Tom Scheerer, and Jamie Drake and Caleb Anderson of Drake/Anderson. The Monday-night awards celebration THE 2019 WINNING ENTRIES … SPECIAL SECTION BY ANNE LEE PHILLIPS kicked off Texas Design Week Houston, a week-long celebration of design with panel discussions, keynotes, cocktails, and book signings. The Awards evening began with a cocktail celebration at The Post Oak Hotel followed by the awards presentation in the Grand Ballroom, with master of ceremonies Hutton Wilkinson of Tony Duquette. Baccarat awards were presented to winning designers and architects. In the audience were Texas Design Week speakers Bunny Williams, Jamie Drake, Caleb Anderson, Cabana HOUSTON PAPERCITY magazine founder Martina Mondadori Sartogo, Flower magazine founder Margot Shaw and her team, Jeffrey Dungan, P. Allen Smith, Ariella Chezar, Chesie Breen, and Lloyd Princeton.
