Roche Bobois Aqua dining table by Fabrice Berrux and Bubble chairs by Sacha Lakic I n 1960, Roche Bobois introduced Paris — and later the world — to ultramodern home furnishings made with cutting-edge materials and bright Pop Art colors. Exciting collaborations followed, including one with artist Hans Hopfer, whose 1971 Mah Jong seating collection has been reinterpreted countless times by fashion greats such as Kenzo Takada, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Missoni Home. To mark its 60th anniversary, Roche Bobois continues the legacy of great design with a new spring/summer collection of furniture, lighting, and accessories created with designers Marcel Wanders, Sacha Lakic, and Fabrice Berrux. Lakic, who envisioned the iconic Bubble collection of seating in 2014, has reintroduced his sculptural Apex poufs in lime green and white, as well as a super-long, curved Perspective sofa in French blue. Berrux began designing quirky and unusual objects in the late '80s. His timely 2020 creations include modular Trinta shelving and the shapely Aqua dining table, made from solid marble with damage-resistant, antibacterial lacquer tops.
