They peer into the large windows of The Victor high-rise's lobby and wonder what these abstract figures — there are nine in all, ranging from nine to 12 feet tall — mean. Which is the point. "The way we design the space is to make it more akin to an art gallery," says Kelie Mayfield of MaRS. Yes, this newly opened 39-story high-rise in Victory Park is a different type of tower. From the glass box that almost seems to float above the podium level (a Munoz + Albin twist) to the 38th-floor Vic's Lounge with sweeping views that can be reserved by any resident free of charge.
