I Wrecked My House fame was in town from her home in California chatting and signing books at The Halles and Marburger Farm as part of a whirlwind Round Top tour to promote her first book, House Story: Insider Secrets to the Perfect Home Renovation (Ten Speed Press). First up was The Halles, emceed by co-hosts Paige and Smoot Hull of The Vintage Round Top, where the self-taught home builder and renovator charmed the crowd with her warmth and honest insights. "Helping couples get through this process is a huge part of my day to day, and a huge part of my show," she said. Guests, by invitation or VIP Members of The Halles, kicked off a Monday night with cocktails with Roth, who lingered to mingle, give out hugs, and pose for pictures. The following morning, Roth was on site bright and early at 8 am at Marburger Farm joining The Tuesday Tailgate, hosted by The Vintage Round Top and Marburger prior to the official 10 am opening of the beloved venue. With record-breaking crowds for opening day, Roth was busy greeting fans and signing books, when along came Fort Worth's Grace Mitchell, another HGTV designer featured on One of a Kind. They knew one another by reputation but had never met in person, which made for an enthusiastic introduction.
