(Continued from page 32) GO ANTIQUING WE WILL A t Blue Hills, there are a boggling 95,000 square feet of shopping space filled with anything you can imagine, from large Swedish pieces to refurbished school lockers, old truck beds that have been repurposed into furniture, art, decor, and just about everything else under the sun. Making our way through the 60 vendors, we met George Ferrari-Gonzalez, who had an impressive collection of antique prints with an endless array of subject matter. Spotted: Sarah Badger, Alyson Allen, Donna Alford, Kelly Van Patter, and Vanessa Preston. We made tracks to Ex-Cess I & II, where we found Leftovers Antiques bulging with merchandise (make a side trip when the shows are over to Brenham to the Leftovers main store, open year- round). With more than 100 vendors across two fields, we found our way to Knock on Wood, 145 Sisters, and a slew of others. When we think of an antiques show, an image like Big Red Barn comes to mind. The original venue from whence the 24- mile three-week show cometh, Big Red Barn has been in business for 50 years and, along with The Continental Tent, shows antique Texana, classic weapons and ammunition, historic documents and currency, vintage coins (some, harvested from the sea), American and European furnishings, silver, and linens. Sighted: Duke McClain with his faithful four- legged pal Chong, Debi Wise, Sarah Simpson, Bobbie Davis Fionda, Valentina Harris, Tasi Harris, Lynn and Peter Bosse, and Shelley Weidner. Then it was on to Cole's Antique Show, McLaren's Antiques, Drift & Holler, and Bar W, and we called it a night at our own venue, The Halles, where some of the most interesting vintage furniture, art, and accessories filled two design pavilions: M. Naeve, Chad Dorsey Strike, Domingue, Mary Lambrakos Studio, Denny Lyons, BR Interior Designs, and Carol Piper Rugs and Textiles. The addition of the VIP Experience made The Halles one of the best stops along the portion of Texas Highway 237 that makes up the Round Top Antiques Show. Scene: Cisco Pinedo (whose Cisco Home store created a lounge for the VIP Experience) and daughter Maurishka Pinedo, Marita Fairbanks, Lisa Hough, Cathy Brown with daughter Lexie, Annie Miranda-Sommer, Libby Cagle, Lauren Taft, Tye Taft, Sanford Dow, Ed Gonzales, John Kidd, Patricia Peckinpaugh Griffith, Lauren Rottet, Chris Evans, Devon Liedtke, Wayne Smith, Greg Fourticq, John Cone, Patsy Fourticq, artist Tara Conley, and Dawn and Richard Gervais. Thanks to all for another great show. We'll see you all again in 2022!
