W he n R e d A n t l e r Bungalows hotel owners John Cone and Greg Fourticq began devising a Red Antler Pool House, they envisioned a Lyford Cay Club-style glamorous entertaining space adjoining the chic round pool. POOL PARTY RED ANTLER! AT THE Sean Dunbar, owner of Round Top Farmhouses, delivered a soaring structure with fireplace, seating areas, small commercial kitchen for catering, and powder bath. Designer Meredith Ellis, owner of James showroom (Houston and Dallas) with her husband Hunter Ellis, has designed the impossibly elegant, classically beautiful new pool house, with a nod to always chic Lyford Cay. Riches abound: stunning Zoe Designs hand-painted wallpaper in the powder bath; Mirth custom- painted wood floors; Hector Finch lighting out of London; mossy Benjamin Moore greens and soft whites; Villa Lagoon zellige tiles in the kitchen and bath; Fleur mirrors; Bunny Williams Home, Carolina Irving, and Peter Dunham Home furnishings; and a riot of stripes, ikat, and suzani-patterned fabric from Kathryn Ireland, Mahala Textiles, Meredith Ellis Textiles, and more. Scheduled to be completed in late March or early April, the Pool House is a haven for Red Antler guests for lounging, cocktails, reading the newspaper by the fire, or a game of Rummikub. An honor bar is always at the ready and breakfast is served daily for guests. The Red Antler Pool House is available for rental for dinners, cocktails, and corporate meetings, seating up to 40 people. More to come in the June issue of PaperCity. To book, redantlerroundtop.com.
