Will Hunt Lewis at Hunt & Bloom Kathy Frietsch Fritch & Co Next month, interior decorator Noel Cressionnie Bangs debuts an immersive full-service interior design studio, showroom, and European-style wine, beer, and coffee bar — Noeka Home in Upper Kirby. The showroom will feature 20 fully styled French and Southern American vignettes — such as Gracie wallpaper in one and a French design from Mural Source in another. Anne Lee Phillips Hunt This Just IN W ill Hunt Lewis has honed his eye for design his entire life. He grew up in the Mississippi Delta; his grandparents were consummate entertainers with beautiful china, silver, and table linens, and frequently traveled to Europe and New Orleans to buy antiques. While living in Mississippi, he opened his own immersive home furnishings, gift, and floral and event studio before moving to New York for a decades- long career in merchandising for Jonathan Adler, One Kings Lane, and Kravet, where he launched and oversaw the Curated Kravet division. The desire to be closer to family prompted a relocation to Houston for Lewis and his husband. Lewis soon began antiques and vintage hunting, attending estate sales, auctions, and, on a bit of a whim, applied for a booth at Marburger Farm in Round Top in October 2022. He was immediately accepted, and Hunt & Bloom was born. It should come as no surprise that his booth was a darling of the tents. An online shop launched in tandem with the show, and his pillows, tabletop, entertaining, and holiday objects ship to cities all over the country. Lewis' informed ability to colorfully mix old and new through the gracious Southern living lens has us eagerly refreshing his Instagram to see what he will find next, from vintage Imari bowls to hot-pink Staffordshire-style ceramic dogs. This month, Lewis opens a Hunt & Bloom showroom on Persa in Houston's Upper Kirby area, which is arranged like a charming shoppable home; he's filled it with Murano glassware, vintage china, table linens, baskets, garden objects, pillows, trays, strikers, silver trophies, and oyster plates, mixing vintage, antique, and new. "The younger generation is too quick to snub generational pieces that have been handed down," he says. "I want to tell the story of how you can mix the two, antique and new, and have a beautiful home that tells a warm and inviting story. Lewis will soon launch made-to-order upholstery and intends to tap into his degree in horticulture by bringing a floral and gardening component to Hunt & Bloom, via flower- arranging classes and lectures on gardening.
