O ctober is always one of the most exciting months of our year. As we embrace fall — and hopefully cooler weather — I love watching our city come alive with its quintessential Dallas blend of design, philanthropy, and community. These elements have long embodied the spirit of PaperCity as well, so, let's just say it's our time to shine. This month, we've packed our calendar with must-attend philanthropic events. These play a vital role in supporting many important, impact-driven causes near to our hearts — not to mention, they provide a fun and purposeful excuse to hit the town. Save these dates: • October 4: The Texas Trailblazer Awards benefiting The Family Place honors the leaders who have made significant contributions to the fight against domestic violence and left a lasting impact on our community. • October 4: The SPCA Fur Ball is a magical evening to support our furry friends. Letter From the Publisher • October 9 and October 28: TACA Fall Arts Crawl offers an inspiring journey through Dallas' finest cultural offerings. • October 10: Klyde Warren Park's Party in the Park is back, transforming our favorite green space into an unforgettable fête. • October 10: The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League's Fashion Notes Luncheon & Style Show brings high style to the Meyerson stage. • October 14 – 15: Kappa Tablescapes showcases the creative talents of some of our city's finest designers. • October 18: Wilkinson Center's Pantry in the Park is dedicated to feeding families in need. • October 25: The Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas' Women of Distinction Luncheon celebrates trailblazing women making a difference. • October 25 – November 3: The much-anticipated Partners Card makes its return, benefiting The Family Place. This week is always bolded in our datebooks. • October 27: The Great Create benefiting the Nasher Sculpture Center is our favorite family-friendly afternoon of art and play. With that, here's to a month that's as jam-packed as it is purposeful and as fun as it is philanthropic. May your fall get in full swing with plenty of compassion, creativity, and connection. We look forward to seeing you around town — celebrating all that makes Dallas the place we love to call home. Brooke Dowdy Publisher, PaperCity Dallas brooke@papercitymag.com Brooke Dowdy 48
