TAMYTHA CAMERON TAMYTHA CAMERON OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. Where to Be Scene District, Klyde Warren Park. Last year's party was all about boots and Texas two- stepping. For 2025, think Saturday Night Fever vibes with a Bee Gees tribute band. The next day we'll be lunching again at the Texas Trailblazers Awards at the Fairmont Dallas. Over the past decade, this event has raised more than $5 million to support survivors of domestic violence, and we were excited to hear that this year's speaker is none other then one of the original supermodels, Christie Brinkley. Next, we'll be catching up with our Kappa Kappa Gamma girlfriends at one or both of the Kappa Tablescapes events: the cocktail party on Monday, October 13, or the luncheon on Tuesday, October 14, both at Dallas Country Club. This year's co-chairs, Shelby Goff and Maddy and Sophie Maguire, secured Aerin Lauder as the keynote speaker, so I'm predicting a frenzied rush to the stage to grab an Instagram selfie with the luxury lifestyle guru. On Saturday, October 18, we'll see the grand reimagining of the Dallas Museum of Art's signature fundraiser previously known as 24 For the past few years, I've felt like Miss Porters, with coastal transplants coming up to me with the same query: "Tell me about the charity scene in Dallas." My response is usually: Get ready for the fall, since it's nonstop luncheons, cocktail soirées and black-tie galas (with a few for-profit trunk shows and boutique opening dinners thrown in, just to ensure we're exhausted). Very wash, rinse, repeat. I generally proclaim October as the midway mark of the season. (In my mind, December is simply tippling at holiday parties.) And this year is no different. We start the month strong with a reinterpretation of our beloved TWO x TWO — the return of amfAR Dallas (the other part of the equation used to be the Dallas Museum of Art) on Saturday, October 4. Expect a star-studded affair on the grounds of Kathleen and Scott Kirby's Preston Hollow estate (the Kirbys are the inaugural-year hosts), where a philanthropic leadership award will be presented to the Gene and Jerry Jones family and an award of inspiration presented by Nicole Kidman to Taylor Sheridan. You'll find us on the dance floor if this year's performer, Diana Ross, belts out her classic "I'm Coming Out." The next week, we'll be at a fashion show and luncheon (always a winning strategy) in support of Equest on Tuesday, October 7, at Brook Hollow Golf Club. This year's luncheon co-chairs are Lisa Singleton and Victoria Snee, with honorary chairs Elisa Summers and Heather Washburne. Then it's time for one of our favorite events of the fall social season, Party in the Park, on Thursday, October 9, benefitting the jewel of the Dallas Arts Art Ball (and historically held in the spring), now called The Collection Gala. It's shaping up to be one of the most swellegant of affairs, so expect to see us debuting something fabulous, which we hopefully have scored straight from the New York runway shows. To end our fabulously busy month, you'll find us dancing the night away to Post Malone, this year's performer at the iconic Cattle Baron's Ball at historic Southfork Ranch on Saturday, October 25. The next day, be ready for some family-friendly fun at the Nasher Sculpture Center's The Great Create.
