Tobia Scarpa with Biagio 32 W e're totally in love with Casa Valle, the showroom of AD100 designer Giancarlo Valle and his partner, Jane Keltner de Valle. The space sits on Lispenard Street — named for one of colonial New York's most prominent families, the same that gave us Bleecker Street — and takes its inspiration from an 18th-century Lispenard family home. Designed as an extension of the Valles' own loft, it reinterprets domestic scale within downtown proportions, with a library and living spaces that feel far more residential than showroom. Warm terracotta walls, sculptural furniture, a painted sky overhead — it's the kind of place that makes you want to move right in. Valle's rug collaboration with Swedish brand Nordic Knots covers the floors: plush New Zealand wool designs with charming, hand- drawn motifs with loops, hands, and flower buds, all rooted in Swedish folk tradition and Valle's own Latin American childhood and handmade by Goodweave-certified weavers in India.
