MUSAAFER This Michelin-starred destination in the Houston Galleria offers far more than your average Indian restaurant. Owners Mithu and Shammi Malik embarked on a 100-day journey across the 29 states of India collecting recipes, spices, and techniques before opening Musaafer; fittingly, the name translates to "traveler" in Hindi. Located in the former Warehouse Live, at the gateway of the official FIFA Fan Festival in EaDo. TAVOLA From the Michelin-star minds at The Bastion Collection, Tavola boasts dishes from various regions of Italy, such as gnocchi pesto, cacio e pepe, and whipped ricotta on their homemade focaccia bread. TINY BOXWOODS Perch garden-side next to Tiny Boxwoods' sister company, Thompson + Hanson nursery, for a cocktail, or dine on the patio or inside. The farm-to- table menu is concocted by chef/co-owner Baron Doke, with produce and beef from a farm located in the Texas Hill Country. TOULOUSE CAFE AND BAR Alberto Lombardi's lauded restaurant in River Oaks District serves French-Belgian cuisine such as steak tartare, lobster risotto, seared wild salmon taboulet, grilled lamb chops, and beef bourguignon. TURNER'S CUT This Gilded Age-esque concept by Berg Hospitality offers rare cuts of American and Australian Wagyu, Japanese kobe, and USDA prime dry-aged meats in a menu overseen by executive chef Pablo Peñalosa. To Shop ELIZABETH ANTHONY This 8,000-square- foot, two-story luxury boutique in Uptown Park carries ready to wear and accessories from Akris, Veronica Beard, Max Mara, La DoubleJ, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valle, Etro, Lela Rose, and Johanna Ortiz; jewelry from Silvia Furmanovich, Fernando Jorge, and Goshwara. FOUND This darling of home design offers everything from light fixtures to furniture and vintage wall tapestries. Found features original work by Texas and international artisans, and places 18th- century vintage in conversation with the avant-garde. THE GALLERIA The Galleria includes boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Moncler, Tod's, Chanel, Balenciaga, Tiffany & Co., Tom Ford, Bulgari, Celine, and Etro, as well as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and even an ice-skating rink. KUHL-LINSCOMB This design and lifestyle store covers almost three city blocks, carrying a mind-boggling collection of tabletop, linens, bedding, furniture, apothecary, children's apparel, and more across multiple buildings, many of which were saved from demolition. MOXIE This repository of fantastical and pedigreed antiques and vintage furnishings is a must-see for international designers on a stopgap in Houston.
