W hat: Make-A-Wish North Texas' Wish Night Where: Omni Dallas Hotel Moment: Before a single guest arrived, sponsorships and ticket sales generated more than a million dollars to help Make- A-Wish North Texas grant the wishes of children fighting critical illnesses. The Rebecca Buchanan Brimmage Foundation made a $500,000 gift, announced that night, bringing the grand total raised to a record-breaking $3.2 million. Takeaway: Since its founding in 1982, 14,000 wishes have been fulfilled.
