National Karastan Month – "Lowest Prices of the Season" Sale ends October 31st JENNY ANTILL Sweet on The Center I Chairman Monica Bickers Bailey Bickers t was all about poodle skirts and jukeboxes when The Center Foundation held a diner-themed blowout for its 12th Annual Luncheon, at River Oaks Country Club. Chairman Elizabeth DeLuca, along with Amy Miller, Elizabeth Vail, and Angie Holloway, treated guests to a hand-jiving menu and towering table centerpieces of fruit pies, which were available for purchase. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Buzz Bissinger, who is best known for his book Friday Night Lights, gave an uplifting speech. A raffle followed the '50s fare. Proceeds benefitted The Center's continued efforts to help adults with developmental disabilities. Lindy hopping: Caroline Miller, Rosemary Schatzman, Manizeh Gruber, foundation president James Pavlik, Kathryn Smith, Stephanie Brown, Michael Lang, and Center President Bill Coorsh, with wife Leah. It was a sweet time at the 11th Annual Ice Cream Sunday at The Center Foundation. The cherries on top were chairmen Lauren Allen, PaperCity's Monica Bickers, Alyssa Kilpatrick, and Amy Urquhart, who welcomed supporters for an afternoon in the Center's Autry Park, with all proceeds going to The Center's programs and services. Double-dipped: Westy Ballard with daughter Sloane, Katie Forney, Jeff Smith with daughter and son Mary Kate and Sam, Robert Urquhart with son Dean, Jason Peters with son Andrew, and Margaret Fitts with William, Bethanne and Thomas Fitts.
