However, chit-chat about firearms and hunting capers held sway when Tootsies and PaperCity magazine came together with social lioness Lynn Wyatt to host a book-signing soirée for the hot-off-the-press Vendome volume Chicks with Guns, photographed by New York lenswoman Lindsay McCrum, Bridget Boggess whose images of gun-brandishing gals accompany the tales in this tome. McCrum held court with Miz Wyatt (pages 112 – 113) and the book's other headliners, including Windi Grimes (pages 121 – 122, 166 – 167), captured with her Alexandra Knight monogrammed pink bullet bag; Courtney Abernethy (pages 74 – 75); Eliza Stedman (pages 64 – 65); Alexandra Knight (pages 60 – 61); former North American Women's Champion Gaye Lovett Kelsey (pages 146 – 147), who advised, Molly Brown "Remember, always treat your gun like it's fully loaded"; Sarita Hixon in from Kenedy County, South Texas (pages 32 – 33); and mother-daughter Karol and Kelly Barnhart (pages 144 –145), who where out of town for the fête. Clever and memorable props included a placard proclaiming "The Right to Bare Arms," placed above hornemblazoned furnishings courtesy of The Arrangement; touches of taxidermy; and a parade of fall fashion from Tootsies. The night concluded with a bang: bubbly and Fady Armanious sporting anecdotes at Wyatt's casa, where she welcomed McCrum and her subjects and toasted outdoor adventure and the gals who carry double-barrels.
