Saluting Houston's Retail Stars F estooned in red and white, the River Oaks Country Club brimmed with UH pride at the Salute to Retail Luncheon, sponsored by University of Houston's Retailing and Consumer Sciences Program. This year, UH's Merchandising Star Awards went to Mickey Rosmarin, founder of Tootsies; Bobbie and John Nau, the latter president and CEO of Silver Eagle Distributors; and Clifford Pugh, editor-in-chief of CultureMap. The event, chaired by Soraya McClelland and Dancie Perugini Ware, creates scholarships for UH students studying for careers in retail.
