The bride, whose birthstone is diamond, had one blue sapphire, the groom's birthstone, added to the band. • The bride worked with Glacier Club executive chef Dennis Morrisroe to source local foods for the menu, which included smoked trout bruschetta and bacon-wrapped elk. • The bride discovered The Blue Moon Ramblers, a six-piece bluegrass band, on a wedding planning trip to Durango and booked them on the spot to play during her reception's cocktail hour. The Temple, Texas-based Billy Holt Band drove all the way to Durango to light up the dance floor with country and rock music. • The bride splurged on Hotel Costes Brown candles, her signature scent at home, and burned the candles for hours before the reception to add to the mood. • Bridesmaids and honor attendant were instructed to wear a long dress in any shade of winter green which resulted in a stunning array of emerald, olive, hunter and jade by designers ranging from David Peck to Issa and J.Crew. • The custom wedding emblem was emblazoned on everything from the wedding cake and napkins to hot toddy sticks and the weekend "hangover kit." • Custom silver collar stays with initials and the wedding date engraved were worn by the groom, as well as the bride's father and stepfather, who both walked the bride down the aisle. • The groom gifted his groomsmen with monogrammed cashmere scarfs that they wore for the service. • Honeymoon: The Residences at Kapalua Bay, Maui, Hawaii. The ceremony took place on the tee box overlooking the snow-covered Rocky Mountains. Guests viewed the ceremony from the balcony of the Glacier Club and stayed cozy with the help of hot toddies and hot chocolate. The historic Strater Hotel, built in 1887, served as home base for the wedding weekend. Dallas-based designer Suzanne Lively made the flower girls' dresses. In the spirit of the holiday season, guests went home with engraved wedding-bell ornaments. Amy Boyter of Papellerie designed the stationery suite, creating a custom wedding emblem of initials and antlers.
