A PERFECT-10 FÊTE TODD FISCUS CELEBRATES A DAZZLING DECADE OF DESIGNING ASTONISHING EVENTS. S ocial butterflies fluttered to the home of Howard and Cindy Rachofsky to celebrate Todd Fiscus, the heralded king of event production. And what better way to honor a decade of party planning than with a huge party. A lineup of impressive events led to this final fête, as Todd had been celebrating for several months prior, wowing patrons all over the city. Kicking off the celebratory campaign (#10YearsofTodd), Team Todd worked with the nonprofit Birthday Party Project to throw a Candy Land-themed birthday bash for homeless children within the CenterPark Garden at NorthPark Center. After recovering from quite the sweet tooth, the next collaboration was with Neiman Marcus Downtown, with an event titled "What's Next in Parties." Team Todd and Neiman's (whose InCircle program just hit a 30-year landmark itself) entertained guests at The Glass House in the couture department, where Todd created exquisite party vignettes: A waterfall of white orchids cascaded over a glass tabletop, the bar staff served cocktails amidst a Dutch still life of decadent fruits and flowers, and in the center of it all was a richly hued vignette in shades of purple perennials. The ultimate party finale, however, was Metamorphosis at casa Rachofsky. An evening of propitious fall weather greeted guests at the tented dome that had housed TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art the previous weekend, upon which butterfly projections furthered the theme. A magnificent marquee of white roses and orchids created the archway, which was flanked by futuristic sailors who opened the doors to a full house of Fiscus' closest friends and collaborators. The convivial connoisseur of all things events held court, mingling with family, friends, former clients and the chairmen of events executed by his company, Todd Events. Cassandra Fine Catering served up copious amounts of caviar served in waffle cones, truffle popcorn and boxed sliders with French fries, which all paired perfectly with Veuve Clicquot and cucumber Belvedere cocktails. The Metamorphosis continued throughout the evening. Violinists performed from podiums high in the dome, and white butterflies floated out of the bar, but the crescendo of the celebration was a video montage on the domed ceiling, of Fiscus and his team, showcasing achievements from the past 10 years. His illustrious list of events include 15 years of TWO x TWO, The French Laundry's 20th anniversary event, the opening celebration of Klyde Warren Park and celebrity weddings for Eli Manning, Tony Romo and Mike Modano. Some exciting events on the horizon include the Los Angeles Music Center's 50th anniversary gala, the Petroleum Ball, the Art Ball's 50th anniversary gala and the Academy of Country Music Awards at Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Post-montage, a ballerina performed an interpretive dance that suggested her transformation into a butterfly, enacted within a cage in the center of the dome. But the thrills weren't over yet. The after-party at Tillman's Roadhouse in the Bishop Arts District was a firm nod to Fiscus' Texas roots.
