MARCH | PAGE 12 | 2015 TAKING A SHINE TO KELLY WEARSTLER BY JANE ROZELLE. PHOTOGRAPHY BRUNO. B rilliant bursts of energy popped at Forty Five Ten, as if the cork on every bottle of Veuve Clicquot had come undone. The spirited occasion was Forty Five Ten's Brian Bolke and designer Kelly Wearstler celebrating the launch of her limited-editio n home and accessories collection, available exclusively in the States at Forty Five Ten. Wearstler partnered with Swarovski to produce 10 bejeweled accessories — hence, the "Shine On" theme of the night. Designer Christian Siriano could be found cozied up behind the turntables with DJ Lucy Wrubel (wow-worthy in a Fausto Puglisi Empire State Building- print dress). And at the Midnight Rambler cocktail pop- up, Chad Solomon mixed Wang Dang Dulas and Soul Claps, while buckwheat and udon dishes from the noodle bar (compliments of The Joule Hotel) kept the crowd nourished — but, not to worry: Everyone burned it off with a little retail exercise. Shining examples: Ann Barbier-Mueller, Cindy Schwartz, Vanessa Swarovski, John Perri, Doyle Bramhill, Paul Levatino, Ellet Miciotto, Jenny Kirtland, Joslyn Taylor, Piper Wyatt, Lynn McBee, and Sheryl Maas. I arrived in Paris just in time for dinner with my friend, British designer Mary Katrantzou, and the fantastic artist Daniel Arsham. DAY 2: I started the day at the Schiaparelli show. I adored the collection, especially the unique headpieces. My next show was the much-anticipated Raf Simons for Dior. The venue was covered in floor-to-ceiling mirrored glass and pink cushioned carpet. The show started on two levels, and the collection was young, fresh and fun. I loved the one-piece suits, the pleated skirts and amazing clear trench coats and boots. The last show was Giambattista Valli, which was dreamy. I long for the runway- grazing ruffled capes and beautiful embroidered gowns. Afterwards, I went to my friend Sabine Ghanem's jewelry presentation and then to dinner to celebrate Mary Katrantzou's birthday. I spent the last week of January in Paris, admiring the stunning haute couture collections. Here are a few of my memorable moments. Nasiba Adilova DAY 3: I sat with my friend Maria Baibakova at the Chanel show, which was unbelievable. The set design was incredible, and bright colors were all over the runway. DAY 4: First, I attended the Elie Saab show to see his exquisite work. I then met the Austrian singer Conchita on the way to Jean Paul Gaultier, where models including Violetta Sanchez, Anna Cleveland and Naomi Campbell walked the runway. After the Valentino show, Mr. Valentino signed his coffee- table book, At the Emperor's Table.
