YOUNG TURKS COMPOSING CULTURE BY JANE ROZELLE. PHOTOGRAPHY LARA BIERNER, BRUNO. ARTFUL SEASON C elebrating its silver year, the Junior Associates for the Dallas Museum of Art kicked off its membership season with the annual Curator's Choice event. The organization lured in potential members with curated tours of the museum's permanent collection. (Needless to say, the bait had been tactfully laid for 2015 sign-ups.) As guests marveled at the art, Junior Associates co- chairs Ray and Lindsay Ballotta and Heath and Andrea Cheek dished about the season's signature events. Signing up: Olivia Trevino, Kim Hunter, Lauren Corr, Kristen Noel, Clayton Karels, Kara Elizabeth, Lauren Godfrey, Chris Littell, Sarah Lockett, and Reanae Seth. CHARITABLE NOTES P assionate patrons converged at Stay Hotel ZaZa — the hotel's resident art gallery — for the seasonal kickoff of the Vivaldi Patron Circle. Celebrating the first event of their fund-raising circuit, the young professionals group established by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra attracts fellow art enthusiasts and music lovers alike. As the crowd danced to tunes provided by DJ Andre, event co-chairs Christina Geyer and Alex Bolton mingled with the stylish set, including DSO's principal horn, David Cooper. After cocktails and conversation, the crowd was led to the center of the room, where a surprise treat unfolded: DSO cellist Jennifer Humphreys provided a beautiful performance, while two members of the Avant Chamber Ballet danced in sync to the music. Swaying along: Michael Metcalf, Bridgette Bell, Alex Baker, Patrick Hamner, Paige Tackett, Rachel Kingrey, and Matt Davis.
