THOMAS KLIGERMAN AD100 architecture firm Ike Kligerman Barkley has masterminded projects ranging from beach homes in Southampton to casitas in San Diego. The triple threat behind the magic — John Ike, Thomas Kligerman, and Joel Barkley — recently debuted their second book, The New Shingled House: Ike Kligerman Barkley (The Monacelli Press). To celebrate, Kligerman breezed into town for an intimate book signing at the Jean de Merry showroom. Christian Darnaud-Maroselli (co- founder of the glamorous furniture and lighting collection with Jean de Merry) and showroom managers Kelsey Ann Haley and Rudolf Valentino hosted and toasted the partner of the esteemed New York and San Francisco-based firm. Admiring glances: Patti and John Sebastian, Lauren Holden, Marci Barnes, Larry Boerder, and Veronica Owens. FLORENCE DE DAMPIERRE In her latest tome, French Chic Living (Rizzoli), Florence de Dampierre sheds light on how to create a certain je ne sais quoi: "Living à la Française is embracing life with its ups and downs, and making the best of it all with elegance. Ligne Roset owners Brittany and Adam Branscum fêted Dampierre at their Design District showroom, where French Consulate representative Robert Lavie held a heartfelt moment of silence on behalf of the tragic November attacks in Paris. Showing French love: Alexandra Lavie, Ebony McFarland, Xavier Serrano, Molly Fiden, Kristian Christensen, and Joanne Dimeff. MAY | PAGE 63 | 2016 BY JANE ROZELLE. Bullard's star power drew a flock of deco-philes eager to hear his cinematic stories — his "Hollywood tale in reverse," as he writes in the book Live, Love and Decorate (Rizzoli), which he signed for guests. The charming designer cultivated a knack for the business when he was 13 years old and rented a stall in the Greenwich Antiques Market in South London. He enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Actors Studio in Covent Garden before jetting to California, where he dabbled in design to pay his tuition and pursue a silver-screen career. We all know how the story ends: Bullard's fearless, eclectic glam landed the attention of celebs — Cher, Eva Mendes, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Sir Elton John — who enlisted him to fill their Tinseltown manses with opulent exotica. On the scene: David Sutherland, and team Cayla Atha, Sasha Villareal, Robin Daniel, and Beau Black; decorators Ike Isenhour, James McInroe and Denise McGaha, architect Eddie Maestri, Dwell With Dignity founder Lisa Robison, Jeff Dashley, Blue Harris, Jamie Martinez, Elizabeth Grant and James Hughes.
