116 T here has been much speculation a b o u t P a r k House, the new members-only club that will open next spring atop the third floor of Building G in Highland Park Village. Late this summer, just as construction commenced, Deborah and John Scott along with fellow founders and visionaries Megan and Brady Wood (the couple behind the new José restaurant) revealed details to a group of notable tastemakers invited to join as founding members. Deborah and John Scott are uniquely suited to steer such a delicate ship as a members-only, hoi polloi-need-not- apply private club geared toward serious connoisseurs of the good life. Freshly back home in Dallas after three years in London, where John was CEO of Belmond Ltd. (formerly Orient-Express Hotels), he has taken these experiences, along with what he learned in his eight years as president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, to draw a map of where the club is going, and by which route. Deborah, as navigator and director of a phalanx of philanthropic, well- traveled, art-collecting friends, is a key co-guide and diplomat. Together with the Woodses (Brady is CEO of Woodhouse, an entertainment and hospitality investment firm), there could not be a more formidable foursome.
