100 BOOT SCOOTING TEQUILA SHOOTING and By Christina Geyer. Photography Will Graham. L izzie Means Duplantis and Sarah Means are the darling sisters behind Miron Crosby, the newly minted bou- tique in Highland Park Village that stocks a most fashionable variety of bespoke western boots. They have a long-standing family tradition that anything worth celebrating is christened with a shot of tequila. And so it was, at the end of an intimate dinner celebrating their store's opening, that everyone raised a glass and drank to their newfound Miron Crosby family. Before the evening wrapped up in tequila-in- fused merriment, all focus was on shopping the petite boutique's customizable boots, vintage Native American jewelry from Shiprock Santa Fe, Comstock Heritage silver and gold belt buckles, and Mignonne Gavigan accessories. After cocktail hour (margaritas were the sip of choice, naturally), guests converged on the second-story patio for a fi ne-dining spin on a West Texas-style dinner, dreamt up by society's preferred chef-ca- terer, Cassandra Tomassetti. "I love those pink ones," said Jeanette Norsworthy, pointing to a pair of bubblegum-colored cowboy boots that were doubling as a centerpiece on the dining table. Meanwhile, we couldn't stop eyeing the navy Margretta boot in front of our place setting, with its appliqued clus- ters of stars and crescent moons.
