Hosted by Carol Piper Rugs at Ellouise Abbott showroom in Dallas, the early-evening soirée included a book signing and presentation by Russell Windham and Bill Curtis. Arts patron and interior designer Lyn Muse gave the introduction — she and Curtis both serve on the board of the Texas chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art. Curtis & Windham is known for its historically accurate architecture and immaculate renovations of historically significant houses, including those of Texas architect John Staub, who designed homes in the early 20th century throughout Houston's tony River Oaks. Designer Mil Bodron of Bodrun+Fruit has studied Staub's architecture extensively and provided commentary for the talk.
