138 JULIE HAWES A former interior designer, Julie Hawes has used her eye for design to support many arts organizations, including Dallas Contemporary, the Nasher Sculpture Center, and SMU's Meadows School of the arts. She is an avid patron of the Dallas Museum of Art, of which she served on the board of trustees and co-chaired its annual Art Ball fund-raiser. She also supports Cattle Baron's Ball, the Junior Group of the Dallas Garden Club, and Interfaith Family Services.
