69 NET-A-PORTER x PaperCity For me, the most important thing is to recognize your own priorities and be a super planner. 6 pm: Games, reading, and homework with the kids. 7 pm: Dinner with the family. I'm blessed with a husband who is a great cook. He makes a great green Thai curry. If I have an after-work event, I'll throw on a beautiful dress from Alessandra Rich or some great pieces from Gabriela Hearst. For off duty, I love Ulla Johnson. 8 pm: Often, I am back online after dinner to check in on business, emails, etc. But it's from my laptop or from my phone at home. 9 pm: Bedtime for the kids. Last check-in on emails from my phone. And I adore Instagram and could spend hours on Pinterest. 10 pm: Relax, take a bath. We love a bit of TV. Maybe a box set. Some dreaming about future vacations. 11 pm: Bed. 10 am: Meetings. Meetings. Meetings. Sometimes with my team; sometimes with a brand partner. Calls with my Asia- Pacific team are in the morning when they're still in the office. 11 am: I take a look at the trading stats for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER throughout the day. I like to see what's selling, when and where, around the world. I have two big screens in my office where the sales and stats are broadcast in real time. Noon: Meetings with the buying team. Review of collection buys and performance. 1 pm: Quick lunch, usually at my desk. Sushi is a favorite. I try not to do 10 things at once while having lunch, but I usually read The New York Times. 2 pm: More meetings and calls with my team in the U.S., now that their day has started. 3 pm: Calls with brand partners and designers. Review of business, budgets, and customer service. I like to meet with our Personal Shoppers and hear what our customer is most interested in. I love receiving customer feedback. 4 pm: If I take an external meeting, I do it in the afternoon. I have a car so I can zip into central London easily. 5 pm: I head home to see my children. I'm a big believer in work-life balance. I cherish being at home and spending time with my family. I learned from my mother that being a good mom and having a career aren't mutually exclusive.
